Heave ho! Lots of potatoes are coming out together!

Doi Land is located on the prefectural border between Shimane Prefecture and Hiroshima prefecture, in a mountainous area with many ski slopes. Rice fields spread our before houses in a valley surrounded by mountains. The temperature difference between morning and afternoon brings a harvest of delicious rice. Here you can sample seasonal vegetables and fruits, including wild vegetables harvested in the spring, blueberries in the summer, and potatoes dug up in autumn.
Shiitake mushrooms are also cultivated on raw lumber. You can experience turning shiitake into dried shiitake and plums into pickled plums, as you learn the traditional methods for creating processed and preserved foods.

This year's harvest is a bumper crop!

Today's special activity

In autumn, the greatest bounty of the earth is sweet potatoes!
