This inn is located in front of Wae Port in central Shimane prefecture. The program affiliate Ms. Motomura returned to Shimane from Tokyo 2 years ago and purchased this 80-year-old traditional residence in her hometown of Oda City to begin rural tourism activities. This inn comprises a fisherman's hut with an adjacent cafe that has been renovated, where freshly squeezed juices and sweets made using seasonal fruits and vegetables are served on the menu.
From indoors, you can enjoy a stunning view of the Sea of Japan and the fishing port, as well as the beautiful scenery of the blue sea on a clear day and the sun setting over the Sea of Japan. The surroundings change from season to season. You can enjoy the sight of lively port activities, such as fishing boats setting up fires to lure squids to them on summer nights, and bottom-trawling boats leaving the port in winter.
In addition to overnight accommodation, you can also rent the place during the day when it is vacant, which is recommended for those who would like to casually experience rural life. This place is also close to the streets of Oda City, which makes it a convenient base for touring the UNESCO World Heritage site Iwami Ginzan and Yunotsu.

In addition to overnight stays, you can also rent the place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the day and from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at night, which is perfect for those who plan to visit on a day trip. You can also charter it as a banquet or workshop venue. |
