Experience content	You can take part in the Buddhist morning rituals in the main hall of Ekoji Temple, which for centuries, has been the focal point for countless people's thoughts and prayers. After the morning service, listen to the chief priest's sermon, and hear about the temple's history as well as that of the town of Yunotsu which developed alongside the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. Those wishing to take part are kindly asked to make a reservation by telephone no later than the day before their chosen service. By taking part in the service, enjoying the cool morning air, and calming your mind, you can get a sense of the profundity of Buddhism through prayer, during this precious learning experience. Why don't you enjoy a moment of tranquil self-reflection? It's an experience that transcends any one particular sect of Buddhism.

Experience content	Here at Ekoji Temple you can cleanse your body and mind by taking part in the practice of sutra copying. Sutra copying began as a means to spread sacred Buddhist texts, but nowadays it serves as a means to achieve mental equilibrium, and helps to prevent dementia, and is enjoyed by people of all ages. 　 Sutra copying at Ekoji is geared towards beginners, who can simply trace the lightly printed characters printed on the copybook. It may take longer than you expect to finish copying out a single page, but as you progress from character to character, your ability to concentrate increases and your mind attains a sense of unity as you relax into the task. The last passage of the sutra takes the form of a Buddhist prayer. May your wishes come true. You can take home your finished sutra.
